Unsatisfied with the current build quality of Android phones, designer Kieron-Scott decided to create the Sony Ericsson Xperia LED concept. This Android device comes with a unibody high polished black steel body and copper plated buttons with LED indicators. ![]()
In order to get evenly illuminated shots, the Xperia LED uses the ring flash technology and a nice touch is the illuminated Sony Ericsson at the back. This seems to be a design prototype, so it’s a work in progress, accepting input from you. There’s the comments section for that, if you have suggestions. This handset certainly looks like Nexus material and Google would probably embrace it as its own. Notice the edge to edge screen present upfront.

I know this is a prototype but these designers always focus on aesthetics (I blame the iPhone and the masses who have decided form is more important than function!) and forget about the day to day use of a cell phone.
I know the “edge to edge screen” would sound appealing to many but tell me what would happen if you dropped your phone? Something that happens regularly in day to day use. We have already heard many stories of iPhone screens shattering. Function is FAR more important!
